ABOUT THE ARTIST
Sam creates beautiful images of western wildlife and landscapes. She is mostly self-taught with her traditional pieces. Her studies included a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation at Brigham Young University. There she learned about composition and color from her professors. Her digital work was published on Webtoon and will now be a graphic novel by Harper Collins. Sam’s love of storytelling and animals shows through in her work, whether it’s a painting or a graphic novel. This love for animals stems from early childhood and her fascination with pets and the wildlife around her. She can often be found exploring the wild places of Montana, looking for new story ideas and painting inspiration.
Sam is currently represented by Corwin Galleries in Hamilton, Montana.
